HONEY BEE EXTRACTION SERVICE

Honey bee extraction is a complicated process involving locating the nest, safely removing the complete nest, and bees, and relocating them to an ideal location in which they will thrive in. Extractions should not be attempted without a professional beekeeper.

Honey bees pollinate 80% of our vegetable and fruit crops, and also pollinate cotton which makes up 40% of our world's fibre.

Since 2006, honey bee colonies have mysteriously struggled, and beekeepers have reported devastating losses in numbers of bees. In most recent years, the numbers in which they are disappearing is increasing, resulting in our flower fields and crops lacking the pollination required to survive and thrive. 

Most troubling is that the cause for their demise is unknown and has been coined CDD or Colony Collapse Disorder. Theories for the cause of CCD range from pesticides to varroa mites (external parasites), which attack honey bees and their broods.

If honey bee populations continue to disappear, there will be a monumental negative impact on our livelihood.

If in addition to CCD, people are intentionally killing honey bees because they are deemed a nuisance around their home or business, this only quickens their demise. 

We can all help save the honey bees, and help turn things around by preserving them.
