OUR COMPREHENSIVE SYSTEM FOR HANDLING PEST MANAGEMENT ISSUES WITHOUT RELIANCE ON PESTICIDE PRODUCTS.
OUR 6-STEP PROTECTION PLAN
The goal of GPMS is to develop a comprehensive system of handling pest management issues without reliance on pesticide products. For example, Environmental Pest Control may seal a harborage area in order to eliminate pest access. However, we will also use registered products to treat infestations under certain circumstances.
Action plans will be put in place to deal with any infestations or activity levels that mechanical traps alone cannot solve. Baiting, trapping and exclusion techniques are used extensively to minimize the use of pesticide applications at the facility.
When an area of increased activity is discovered, EPC immediately increases our number of pest control devices and investigates to determine the source. EPC also implements and suggests recommendations to reduce conducive conditions for this particular problem. Including detailed reports of possible causes and corrective actions needed. We continue to monitor and inspect this area with increased presence of devices until this issue is solved. In the event that this activity continues and we have exhausted all other tools available, EPC then suggests the implementation of a pesticide application in controlled areas only. Even at this level we suggest the use of the least toxic product registered for the specific target pest. All personnel and staff are notified prior to any pesticide application. Once the problem is solved all pesticides are removed. Then the area is re-evaluated to ensure that all conducive conditions have been eliminated. Detailed records of all procedures and product usage are documented and reported. When this area has met all of the above criteria it will be placed on the regular monitoring scheduled
